At Hersill We reinforce our commitment to the global health through our strategic alliance with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation. During 2025, this collaboration facilitated specialized paediatric care for more than 69,000 children and supported a network that managed 764,444 consultations in India, guaranteeing the right to decent healthcare in vulnerable communities.

The challenge of equity in access to universal health

Access to quality healthcare remains one of the greatest global challenges. In many regions, the possibility of receiving specialized treatment is determined by socioeconomic factors.

For us, as medical technology manufacturers, responsibility transcends the production of equipment. We firmly believe that collaboration between social organizations and committed companies is the necessary engine to generate real and sustainable changes in international public health.

Hersill and the Vicente Ferrer Foundation: An alliance with real impact

For years, in Hersill We maintain an active collaboration with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation (FVF). This union is based on a shared objective: to democratize healthcare and bring resources to where the need is most urgent.

Results at the Bathalapalli Hospital and rural network

Over the past year, our alliance has focused its efforts on the states of Andhra Pradesh y Telangana, in southern India. Thanks to this sustained support, assistance milestones have been achieved that reflect the magnitude of the project:

  • Specialized care: More than 69,000 minors received specialized paediatric care.
  • Massive reach: The FVF health network attended to a total of 764,444 hospital consultations bringing medicine closer to traditionally excluded communities.
  • Key infrastructure: Support for the Bathalapalli Hospital, 16 rural clinics and specialized centers for HIV and family planning.
  • Human approach: Implementation of programs where families accompany the child, guaranteeing comprehensive and human well-being.

Comprehensive medical care: Priority in children’s health

Our commitment is focused on protecting the most vulnerable. The health program developed in partnership with the FVF focuses on the children’s rights and the quality of care from birth, tackling one of the foundation’s four major global challenges.

Medical and diagnostic services developed

To ensure that no child is left behind, coordinated actions have included:

  • Critical Care: Paediatric and neonatology services for patients from 0 to 15 years old.
  • Prevention: Programs of childhood vaccination and early detection of diseases and intellectual disability in at-risk infants.
  • Disease Management: Monitoring of acute and chronic diseases such asthalassemia, epilepsy, juvenile diabetes, and heart disease.
  • Life Support: Clinical analysis, diagnostic studies, medication supply and nutritional support for both patients and their mothers.

A shared vision towards social justice

Elena Gamallo Garate, representative of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation (Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y Leon branch), a foundation with over 55 years’ experience in international cooperation, emphasises that “the commitment of companies such as Hersill is key to expanding access to healthcare. This work forms part of a comprehensive strategy encompassing child development, environmental sustainability and social equality”.

For us, maintaining these long-term partnerships is part of our corporate vision: to contribute to a fairer society where healthcare reach those living in disadvantaged contexts. Because when healthcare reaches where it didn’t before, it doesn’t just treat illness: it generates new life opportunities.
