Public healthcare in Melilla is experiencing a historic moment with the inauguration of the new University Hospital, a modern infrastructure that reinforces the quality of care in the autonomous city and avoids having to travel to the mainland to receive specialised care. This advance not only improves access to healthcare, but also represents a milestone in the Ministry of Health’s commitment to equipping the National Health System with the most innovative healthcare technology. In this transformation, Hersill has been proud to participate with the supply of a key part of the medical equipment that is already in operation at the centre.
Hersill has contributed to the Melilla University Hospital with state-of-the-art technological solutions, distributed in critical areas for the diagnosis, treatment and comprehensive care of patients. Specifically, we have supplied four Vitae 40 transport ventilators, already installed in the ICU, which are essential to guarantee safe and reliable ventilatory support in emergency situations and intra-hospital transfer. In the Psychiatry area, the hospital also has a Thymatron electroconvulsive therapy equipment, a reference device in the treatment of resistant psychiatric pathologies.
Hersill’s involvement extends to the surgical block, where three Eurovac H-50 surgical pumps, designed to provide powerful, quiet and continuous suction during surgical procedures, have been installed. In addition, more than 300 oxygen flowmeters and more than 300 vacuum regulators have been distributed throughout the hospital, essential elements to ensure safe and accurate management of medical gases in all clinical areas.
Our contribution to the Melilla University Hospital is a reflection of Hersill’s ongoing commitment to public health and national technological development. We feel deeply aligned with the vision of the Ministry of Health, which is firmly committed to a more innovative, more accessible and more humane healthcare system.
