Spain has a solid, innovative technology industry that is committed to the country’s development. An industry that is not always given the visibility it deserves, but which is present in hospitals, research centres, cities, companies and homes. Every device, every piece of software, every solution born here is the result of a collective effort to move forward, to improve what already exists and to respond to the challenges of our time with useful and purposeful technology.
At Hersill, we are proud to be part of this industrial fabric. We know that innovation from Spain is possible, necessary and valuable. That is why, when Industry Talks invited us to participate in an interview as part of the Technologies that make a country campaign, we saw a great opportunity to share what we do, how we do it and, above all, why we do it here.
This initiative puts the spotlight on something that often goes unnoticed: that the technology that is designed and manufactured in Spain not only exists, but also plays a strategic role. It is a driver of employment, knowledge and territorial development. Above all, it is an asset for building a country that is more autonomous, prepared and ambitious in its industrial model.
The value of innovating from within
During the interview we talked about what it means to innovate from here. At Hersill, we understand innovation as a tool to solve real problems with concrete solutions. It is not just about creating new products, but about transforming processes, improving results, incorporating useful technology and thinking in the long term.
This innovation is not born in a vacuum: it arises from direct contact with the needs of our customers, careful observation of the environment and commitment to our territory. That is why we are committed to internal development, to the continuous training of our teams and to collaborating with other entities that share this vision.
Technology that transforms
The technology we develop has a direct impact on people’s lives. From medical solutions to industrial devices, our work is aimed at facilitating, optimising and improving concrete realities. For us, innovation is useful when it is at the service of well-being, efficiency or safety.
The Technologies that make a country campaign was also an opportunity to show that behind every solution there is a team, a story and a purpose. That Spanish companies are not only capable of developing quality technology, but that we have been doing so for a long time, often in silence.
A living industrial community
One of the great achievements of the “Tecnologias Que Hacen País” campaign is to have given visibility to a network of companies that, from very different realities, share a common conviction: that developing technology in Spain is not only possible, but essential for our future. We are talking about small, medium and large companies; cooperatives, startups, established manufacturers and emerging initiatives that share a common commitment to local development, technical excellence and constant improvement.
During our participation in Industry Talks, we underlined the importance of this feeling of belonging to a wider community. Because when a company chooses to innovate, produce and grow from here, it does not do so in isolation. It is part of a value chain involving suppliers, universities, technology centres, specialised professionals and multiple actors that enrich and make each advance possible.
This industrial fabric, often invisible to the general public, is full of talent, vocation and knowledge. And it needs to be recognised and supported for what it is: a strategic pillar for economic development, the creation of qualified employment and the transformation of the country.
Connecting with other companies that share these values has reinforced a key idea: that there is a Spanish technology industry that not only resists, but also advances, collaborates and modernises. An industry that does not wait to be recognised, but works every day to demonstrate its value. And when it is given visibility, it inspires confidence, generates opportunities and demonstrates that in Spain the future can also be built from technology.
The interview at Industry Talks was an opportunity to reflect on our role within an industrial network that is very much alive, although not always sufficiently visible. For us, being part of Technologies that make a country is much more than appearing in a campaign: it means taking on the responsibility of continuing to innovate from within, committing to local talent, to being close to those who use our solutions and to a more autonomous and committed development model.
We believe in technology that is not only imported or consumed, but also thought, designed and manufactured here. Because we know that looking to the future also means trusting in what we already know how to do. And making it grow.
Hersill is part of the Technologies that make a country campaign, which showcases the technological companies that develop, manufacture and innovate in Spain. Its work is actively contributing to the strengthening of the national technology industry, the creation of jobs and economic progress, while reinforcing Spain’s industrial autonomy to face the challenges of the future.
