HERSILL | NEWS | CSR | DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION
We recognise that authentic change cannot be achieved solely through financial support; rather, it is cultivated through the commitment to every collaboration and the thoughtful execution of every action that aims to transform realities. It is a commitment that extends beyond the material, born of social responsibility and the desire to contribute to a fairer future for the most vulnerable. In this sense, our ongoing collaboration with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation (FVF) is a clear reflection of our commitment to go beyond what is expected, by working for a decent future for the younger generations.
The ‘Access to Quality Paediatric Healthcare’ project is supporting the health of 69,053 vulnerable children in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in southern India. These children, who are suffering from serious illnesses and extreme poverty, will receive medical care at the Bathalapalli Paediatric Hospital, one of the main healthcare centres in the region.
Thanks to this effort, Hersill’s contribution covers key aspects of treatment:
- We provide outpatient consultations and care for hospitalised children, ensuring they receive the medical attention they need in various specialties, such as paediatrics, neonatology and follow-up care for chronic diseases, including thalassaemia, epilepsy and heart disease.
- It is vital that children receive the necessary doses of the vaccine in accordance with the official vaccination schedule for children under 5 years old.
- Nutrition and medication: providing hospitalised children with adequate nutrition and the necessary drugs for their recovery, as well as offering nutritional support to patients’ mothers.
- We are committed to delivering training and awareness-raising workshops for healthcare staff, with the aim of continuously improving their knowledge of paediatric care. We also provide parents with tools on healthcare and nutrition.
The impact of this project is not just measured in numbers, but in the lives we transform. Each child that enters the hospital is not just a number; it is a unique individual with its own story, and an opportunity for growth in a healthier environment, free from the limitations imposed by poverty and lack of access to health care. In addition to the 69,053 direct beneficiaries, the families and communities of these children also benefit from this action, creating a network of support that transforms lives and hearts.
Hersill’s collaboration with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation is not limited to covering health costs; it also enables a transformative long-term vision. This initiative is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the commitment to reduce child mortality and ensure universal access to healthcare for all children, irrespective of their social or economic background.
In areas where hospitals are distant and access to medical services is limited, the Vicente Ferrer Foundation has established a healthcare model in 16 rural clinics and 3 general referral hospitals. In addition, the Bathalapalli Hospital continues to be a fundamental pillar, treating children from birth to 15 years of age. In this context, Hersill’s collaboration becomes even more valuable by ensuring that these children receive early medical care, which is crucial for their development and well-being.
For us, every action taken in this project represents an investment in human dignity. We would like to express our gratitude to all those who have contributed to this project, with particular thanks to the Vicente Ferrer Foundation. Their collaboration has been instrumental in enabling us to move towards a better future. We are committed to a future where health, education and equity are not privileges, but rights for all.
This commitment is not merely a gesture of solidarity; it is a strategic alliance that demonstrates our ability to create a fairer and more sustainable world through collaboration. Hersill is committed to every gesture because we understand that every contribution to human life is significant. We would like to express our gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to a project that has such a significant positive impact on people’s lives.
