- Consensus document on hypothermia: why is it necessary?, by Dr Robert Blasco of Vall d’Hebron University Hospital.
- The NOVI procedure and the organisation of the Advanced Medical Post (PMA), presented by professionals from SDIS 66 (Service Départemental d’Incendie et de Secours des Pyrénées-Orientales).
- Hospital management of hypothermia and an update on the latest scientific evidence,
presented by Dr Michelle Laurens. - Defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation in patients with hypothermia below 30 °C, once again with Dr Robert Blasco.
- Initial management of patients with acute traumatic spinal cord injury, presented by Dr Miguel Angel Gonzales of Vall d’Hebron University Hospital.
- Management of cardiac arrest due to accidental hypothermia and indications for ECMO in grade III and IV hypothermia, presented by Dr Eduardo Argudo.
- Prevention, detection and pre-hospital assessment, led by Carles Perez, a nurse with the Medical Emergency Service (SEM).
The programme combines the latest scientific developments with clinical experience to provide a practical insight into some of the most important clinical procedures in the field of emergency medicine.
