During the worst of the pandemic, many of the ventilators, one of the pioneers of medical equipment manufacturing in Spain, founded this company in 1973. In addition to products for oxygen therapy, medical suction and emergencies, they have been developing technically complex products, such as ventilators and anaesthesia machines, for the last two decades. Hersill is one of the few European and global companies to design and manufacture a high-performance anaesthesia workstation and ventilator for transport and emergencies, “Vitae 40.”

During the first wave of the Covid-19 produced, with the help of the state and the support of other companies, 5,100 units of “Vitae 40” in nine weeks, in addition to 52,000 oxygen flow meters and thousands of units of other equipment, indispensable for enlarging hospital beds. From its plant in Mostoles, with an R & D & I department with engineers experts in healthcare technology and doctors. Hersill exports to more than 100 countries on five continents, mainly to Europe, the Middle East and Asia. In 2021 it had a turnover of 13.8 million euros. It is a limited partnership with three partners: Benjamín Herranz Jordán, his son of the founder, and Óscar and Carlos Martínez Jordán, his cousins.
