HERSILL | NEWS | UPDATES | CSR |
At HERSILL, we firmly believe that the true impact of healthcare technology goes beyond innovation; it lies in people’s well-being. Over the years, we have been committed to the community, guided by the firm belief that, with our technology, we can improve the lives of those who need it most. But beyond advances in health, we believe that what is truly transformative is the social impact we generate, the help we extend to those who are going through times of vulnerability, no matter where they are.
We have carried out several initiatives in collaboration with different organisations, both in Spain and internationally, to support those most in need. These initiatives not only fill us with satisfaction, but also give meaning and value to the work we do every day in the field of healthcare technology. We know that true innovation lies in the ability to transform lives, and each of our projects reflects our commitment to a fairer and more caring world.
❤️ RED CROSS – Support for vulnerable families:
In Mostoles, for more than five years, we have joined forces with the Red Cross to help more than 400 people in extremely vulnerable situations. Through financial donations to the “Urgent Attention to Basic Needs” project, food is purchased from local shops and workshops are organised to improve basic skills and healthy eating, among other things. We have promoted the social and economic integration of the most vulnerable families, strengthening the local community.
Our collaboration with Cruz Roja Mostoles is not limited to financial contributions; we also participate in initiatives throughout the year, such as purchasing Christmas lottery tickets. This ongoing support has a significant impact, improving the quality of life for more than 8,500 people in the region.
🩺 RECOVER FOUNDATION – Health and social care
In collaboration with the Recover Foundation, we have contributed to improving healthcare in several centres in Cameroon. This collaboration is a clear example of how technology and solidarity can come together to transform lives, bringing hope and progress to the communities most in need.
🍎 FOOD BANK – Combating food poverty:
One year after the devastating DANA in Valencia, the Food Bank continues to play a key role in the recovery of affected families. Hersill‘s collaboration has been fundamental to this effort. The company contributed with a financial donation that enabled the Bank to strengthen its capacity to continue distributing food and essential resources to the most affected areas.
The Bank’s president, Jaime Sierra, highlighted the importance of collaborating with companies such as Hersill to ensure that aid reached those in need effectively. Thanks to this collaboration, the Bank was able to continue its tireless work, assisting more than 6,500 people per month in the affected areas and distributing millions of kilos of food.
🏥VICENTE FERRER FOUNDATION– Paediatric healthcare
In 2025, Hersill‘s collaboration with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation has been instrumental in ensuring access to healthcare for more than 69,000 vulnerable children in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in southern India. Thanks to this contribution, children have received specialised paediatric care at Bathalapalli Hospital, part of the foundation’s network of hospitals.
The Vicente Ferrer Foundation‘s health programme includes paediatric and neonatal services for patients aged 0 to 15, vaccinations in accordance with the official schedule for children under 5, and care for chronic diseases such as thalassaemia, epilepsy, juvenile diabetes and heart disease. In addition, clinical analyses and diagnostic tests are carried out to ensure accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatments, and nutrition and medication are provided to hospitalised children and their mothers.
🎭 SANICLOWN – Psycho-emotional care in the healthcare setting SANICLOWN – The antidote to joy
Together with Saniclown, we bring smiles to hospitals through clown workshops, improving the hospital experience for patients and their families. This collaboration promotes emotional well-being, helping patients face the challenges of their hospital stay in a positive way, improving their mental and physical health.
In 2025, Maria Castro, project manager at Saniclown, stood out for having an experienced team capable of adapting to the needs of patients in complex hospital situations, such as oncology, paediatric palliative care and adolescent psychiatry. The continuous evaluation of her work has led to improvements in the quality of the organisation’s activities, especially in collaboration with healthcare staff during palliative care home visits, where the clown becomes an essential part of the team, bringing well-being and joy. This work has been recognised with an award from Madrid City Council.
– Laughter, the most powerful medicine at the Niño Jesús Hospital
With Hersill‘s help, Saniclown has been able to provide a clown on a continuous basis for the improvisation and clown workshops at the Niño Jesús Hospital, where, according to Maria Castro, Saniclown’s project manager, they have worked with an average of 8-10 patients three times a month, reaching more than 300 adolescents in the Psychiatry Unit. Through the workshops, these adolescents have improved their emotional well-being, managed to release tension, socialise in a safe environment and improve their connection with treatment. This impact is highly significant, considering that hospitalisations for mental health disorders in children under 18 have increased by 47% in the last decade, according to data from the Ministry of Health (2023).
👶🏻UNICEF: Committed to children’s wellbeing
At Hersill, this year we have been part of the #EmpresasXCambio initiative, a programme that connects companies committed to child welfare. Through this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to children, especially the most vulnerable.
We believe that every action has the power to transform realities, and #EmpresasXCambio allows us to collaborate with other companies to generate a positive impact beyond economic results. Together, we create new opportunities and offer hope, always with a focus on empathy and social responsibility.
🎶 MUSICIANS FOR HEALTH – Music therapy in healthcare settings
-Oncology Department at La Paz Hospital
Hersill, concerned about the overall well-being of patients, has collaborated this year with Musicos por la Salud (Musicians for Health) in organising musical activities at La Paz Hospital. The Oncology Department at La Paz University Hospital, one of Spain’s leading centres, had the opportunity to enjoy a musical activity led by Katia Marquez. In this initiative, patients are accompanied by different musical performances, which provide them with a space for emotional connection and relief during their recovery process, creating a more humane and comforting environment in the challenging context of a hospital.
🎶LA LAGUNA CARE HOSPITAL
Hersill has also supported another music therapy initiative at Laguna Care Hospital, which improves the quality of life of patients and professionals through the power of music. Our support will enable an increase in weekly sessions, benefiting patients with neurodegenerative diseases and providing self-care for professionals.
💡 ATABAL FOUNDATION- Basic energy systems
This year, Hersill has collaborated in financing a solar energy system at the Missionary Sisters of St. Clare mission in Lungi, Sierra Leone, in collaboration with the ATABAL Foundation. This project has provided light and water to the community, improving the daily lives of many, facilitating everyday tasks and optimising the mission’s services.
Thanks to this facility, the mission continues to be a centre of hope, offering education, interfaith support and healthcare. It also promotes child development through recreational activities and provides assistance in times of humanitarian crisis.
👥HOSPITAL HUMANISATION PROJECTS
At Hersill, we are collaborating with the Niño Jesus Hospital to transform the journey between the Emergency Room and Radiology into a more friendly and playful experience for children and their families. With footprints and figures inspired by El Retiro Park, we are improving orientation and reducing stress for families and patients.
This initiative facilitates the work of healthcare personnel, optimising patient flow and creating a more organised and humane environment. At Hersill, we are committed to projects that humanise healthcare, reflecting our commitment to the emotional health of patients.
-San Carlos Clinical Hospital: Design of therapy rooms
Together with Hospital Clínico San Carlos, we organised a creative workshop in which patients actively participated in redesigning the day hospital wards in the Psychiatry Department, transforming these spaces into more welcoming and humane places.
The workshop, which allowed patients to express their emotions through art, not only improved the physical environment, but also encouraged social interaction, reduced stress, and strengthened self-esteem. This experience contributed to the recovery process, creating an environment where patients felt listened to and valued.
💙 Together, we can make a difference. 💙
