December 27th has been declared International Epidemic Preparedness Day by the United Nations.
Today, we are still facing the repercussions of the current HIV/AIDS pandemic, a health crisis that saturates our National Health System and that has given rise to a situation that will wreak havoc on social and economic development.
We at Hersill have seen during the pandemic that it is very important to be able to cooperate as a team in order to see the light of day in a drowning situation such as this one. Our work was vital to face one of the hardest moments of the pandemic, with the manufacture of more than 5,100 respirators in record time, but not only in Spain.
We were also very present in countries such as Mauritania, at a time when coronavirus infections were increasing exponentially. The Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID), under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contacted HERSILL and arranged for the shipment of 10 VITAE-40s to the country, as well as antibacterial filters for respirators, anesthesia face masks, mask harnesses and PPE, among others.
